Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and Java
- Integrate and query data from Oracle Database (PL/SQL, JDBC, JPA)
- Perform unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito)
- Use version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimize performance
- Manage API security (JWT, OAuth2, Spring Security)
- Participate in agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Collaborate with UI, QA, and DevOps teams
- Document technical solutions and write API specs (Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Troubleshoot production issues and support post-deployment
Skills Required:
- Spring Boot framework (Controllers, Services, Repositories, Annotations)
- Java (8+) with OOP, Streams, Functional interfaces
- Oracle DB (SQL, PL/SQL, schema design, joins, indexes)
- REST API design and documentation (Swagger, Postman)
- Use of Maven/Gradle, Git, IntelliJ/Eclipse
- Working with Spring Data JPA, Hibernate
- Experience with error handling, exception strategies
- Communication & team collaboration
- Analytical and debugging skills
- Basic DevOps knowledge (Docker, CI/CD tools)
- Java Memory Model, multithreading basics
- How HTTP, REST, and JSON work
- Core concepts of Spring IoC, DI, and AOP
- Entity-relationship modeling and normalization in Oracle
- Database tuning concepts (execution plans, indexing)
- Clean code principles and SOLID design patterns
- Common security threats (XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection)
- Working knowledge of Agile methodology
- SDLC, version control and deployment practices
