Position: Application Support Engineer

Educational Criteria:

Education: BE/BTech/BCA/BCS/BSc/MCA/MSC/MCS (CS/IT Branch Only)
Batch: Pass-out Year 2023/2024/2025 Batch Only
Percentage: No Percentage Criteria

Role & Responsibilities:

Analyze application functionality and performance; identify issues and suggest improvements.
Provide L1/L2 application support (technical and functional) to internal users and customers.
Troubleshoot application issues using logs, monitoring tools, and basic debugging techniques.
Take ownership of reported issues and drive them through resolution within defined SLAs.
Log, track, prioritize, and manage customer and system issues using ticketing tools.
Escalate unresolved or complex issues to L2/L3 teams following standard escalation procedures.
Support code migration across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Production) and ensure system stability.
Maintain documentation for configurations, incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures.
Monitor application performance and report trends, risks, and recurring issues.
Assist clients via phone, email, or ticketing systems by providing clear step-by-step guidance.
Coordinate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to improve application reliability.
Prepare detailed incident and support reports, including actions taken and resolution timelines.
Participate in shift-based support, including weekends and night shifts, as required.
Participate in release validations and post-deployment checks.

Required Skills:

Basic to intermediate knowledge of: ASP.NET / .NET Core / MVC.HTML, JavaScript / MS SQL / MySQL
Experience in troubleshooting application issues using logs and root cause analysis.
Understanding of code deployment, configuration management, and environment migrations.
Working knowledge of APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration concepts.
Familiarity with Windows & Linux OS, and basic server/application configurations.
Exposure to performance monitoring and incident management tools.
Experience or familiarity with test-driven development concepts is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office tools for documentation and reporting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of transaction-based systems and batch processing.
Understanding of security concepts (encryption, access controls, audit logs).
Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
Willingness to work in rotational shifts and weekend support.
