Position: Appeals & Grievances Associate (This is a non-technical role.)

Experience: Fresher

Approx. Package: Upto Rs. 1,80,000/- to Rs. 2,40,000/- per annum

Job Location: Office / Hybrid / As per company policy

Shift: US shift / Rotational shift 

Department: Healthcare BPO / US Healthcare Operations

Job Description:

We are hiring freshers for the Appeals & Grievances process in a healthcare BPO environment. The role involves reviewing healthcare-related cases, understanding customer/provider concerns, documenting case details accurately, and supporting resolution as per client guidelines and compliance requirements. This is a good opportunity for candidates who want to build a career in US healthcare, claims, medical billing, denial management, and payer operations. 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Review appeal and grievance cases received from members, providers, or internal teams. 
  • Understand basic healthcare documents such as claims, denial letters, EOBs, and supporting records.
  • Classify cases correctly as appeal, grievance, inquiry, or claim-related request. 
  • Enter and update case details accurately in client systems. 
  • Follow standard operating procedures, timelines, and quality guidelines. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams for missing information or case clarification. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of member and patient information. 
  • Meet daily productivity, accuracy, and turnaround time targets. 
  • Learn and apply basic US healthcare concepts, HIPAA, claims, and denial management. 

Skills Required:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Basic analytical thinking.
  • Willingness to learn US healthcare processes.
  • Ability to work with targets and timelines.
  • Professional attitude and team coordination.
  • Candidates with basic knowledge of medical billing, medical coding, RCM, or US healthcare will be preferred.
  • Good English reading and writing skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge and typing skills.
  • Willingness to work in US shifts or rotational shifts.
  • Ability to understand documents, follow instructions, and maintain accuracy.

Recruitment Process:

  1. HR screening
  2. English reading and writing test
  3. Basic analytical test
  4. Operations interview
  5. Final HR discussion
