Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic WordPress
Intern to join our web development team. The ideal candidate should have a
basic understanding of WordPress development, website design, and content
management systems. This internship offers hands-on experience in building,
customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites while working alongside
experienced developers and designers.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Assist
in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites.
- Support
the creation and management of website pages, posts, menus, and media
content.
- Work
with WordPress themes and plugins to enhance website functionality.
- Assist
in implementing responsive website designs for desktop, tablet, and mobile
devices.
- Collaborate
with UI/UX designers to convert design concepts into functional web pages.
- Help
optimize website performance, speed, and user experience.
- Perform
website testing, debugging, and troubleshooting under supervision.
- Assist
with website updates, backups, and security maintenance.
- Support
SEO implementation and website content optimization activities.
- Work
on plugin configuration, customization, and integration tasks.
- Participate
in team meetings, project discussions, and progress reviews.
- Maintain
project documentation and task updates.
Skills Required:
- Basic
understanding of WordPress CMS.
- Knowledge
of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
- Familiarity
with WordPress themes, plugins, and page builders such as Elementor or
WPBakery.
- Understanding
of responsive web design principles.
- Basic
knowledge of website hosting, domains, and cPanel.
- Familiarity
with SEO fundamentals and website optimization techniques.
- Understanding
of PHP and MySQL is an added advantage.
- Knowledge
of version control tools such as Git is a plus.
- Basic
knowledge of WordPress website development.
- Strong
interest in web development and content management systems.
- Prior
academic projects, personal projects, or certifications in WordPress will
be an advantage.
- Good
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong
willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Basic
problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Attention
to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability
to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good
time management and organizational skills.
