Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Trainee PEGA Business Analyst to support business analysis activities for workflow and case-management solutions built on the PEGA Platform.

The trainee will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, developers, testers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs, document processes and requirements, prepare user stories and acceptance criteria, and support solution validation. Structured training and mentoring will be provided to build PEGA Business Analyst capabilities.

Role & Responsibilities:

Assist in gathering, analyzing, clarifying, and documenting business requirements under the guidance of senior team members.
Support the preparation of current-state and future-state process flows, business rules, use cases, and functional documentation.
Translate business needs into clear user stories with measurable acceptance criteria.
Help identify users, personas, case types, stages, processes, steps, data requirements, and business outcomes for PEGA applications.
Participate in requirement discussions, workshops, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and daily status meetings.
Maintain user stories, requirements, decisions, and action items in tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Collaborate with PEGA architects, developers, and testers to clarify requirements and support solution delivery.
Assist with test scenario preparation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect clarification, and validation of delivered functionality against requirements.
Prepare meeting notes, process documentation, status updates, and training or user-support material as required.
Complete assigned PEGA learning paths and progressively build hands-on knowledge of App Studio and case lifecycle design.

Skills Required:

Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
Ability to understand a business process and present it using simple process flows or diagrams.
Basic understanding of requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, and UAT.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, logical reasoning, and problem-solving ability.
Good verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to ask questions and clarify requirements.
Ability to create clear and structured documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work collaboratively, manage assigned tasks, and learn in a fast-paced project environment.
Awareness of Business Process Management (BPM), workflow automation, and case management concepts is an advantage.
Basic familiarity with PEGA concepts such as Case Types, Case Life Cycle, Stages, Processes, Steps, Personas, Channels, and Data Objects is preferred but not mandatory.
Exposure to PEGA App Studio, PEGA Academy, or the PEGA Business Architect learning path is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, or similar collaboration and process-modeling tools is desirable.
Awareness of APIs, integrations, databases, or data modeling is good to have.
Curious, self-driven, and willing to learn PEGA and business analysis from the ground up.
Comfortable interacting with both business and technical team members.
Able to listen carefully, organize information, and communicate complex topics in simple language.
Quality-focused, dependable, and willing to take ownership of assigned deliverables.
Exposure to college or CDAC projects involving requirements, process mapping, application development, testing, or documentation is an advantage.
Exposure to AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar solutions is an advantage.
